Fernie Masters with FAST
New this year FAST will be introducing a Masters program. Minimum age is 18 years old and you should be a strong parallel skier that will go down most of the runs at Fernie, don’t have to ski pretty and no spandex. The program is designed to be fun with the emphasis on increasing confidence, developing efficient ski performance in a relaxed and positive environment. Snow conditions of the day shall guide the coaches’ daily plan. Powder days will encourage free skiing with emphasis on mileage and hard pack days will encourage use of stubbies, training aids, SL and GS courses may be utilized. The use of video shall be offered on a regular basis with individual assessment by your coach. Helmets are mandatory and whatever is on your feet shall work just fine so long as you keep the snow blades at home.
The program will run on Friday afternoons from 1-4PM and Sundays from 9-12:00AM. Starting January 06, 2012 and the last training session will be on April 01, 2012 (see specific dates below). Meeting place TBA.

Membership of FAST and BC Alpine will be required at a cost of $150. Additionally in order to participate in the coaching sessions a flex punch card is available; 5 sessions for $200.00 or 10 sessions for $360.00. You can use the flex card any time. The flex card may be shared. The flex card shall expire after April 01, 2012. As this is the first year FAST is offering the Masters Program no Masters race registration fees, travel to Masters races or coaching at Masters events are included with the flex card. No Masters races shall be attended in the 2011-2012 season.

Cancellation policy: The punch card is non-transferable, 24 hr. Notice must be given if you cannot attend your session. If notice is not given the card will be punched. The card expires after April 01, 2012.
