FERNIE ALPINE SKI TEAM RESPONDS TO JANUARY 15 AVALANCHE

Fernie, BC, January 16, 2011 - The Fernie Alpine Ski Team is relieved that
the athletes and coaches involved in the avalanche are safe. The team is satisfied with the actions
our coaches took in the situation. The team is grateful to the staff,
management and community of Fernie Alpine Resort for their professional
response to this situation.

The FERNIE ALPINE SKI TEAM - is better known as FAST. We’re a ski racing
club that trains at Fernie Alpine Resort in British Columbia. We offer a
variety of alpine ski programs for athletes from 5 to 19 years of age.  We
are one of the longest standing clubs in British Columbia.
