To all FAST Members,

 

I think this is my first update in three weeks.  Must be a sign of how well your fearlesscharming, good looking and witty board of directors has everything under control and organized.

 

Don’t get used to it. I think it will be fast and furious for the next four months.

 

 

 

 

FAST FACTS – FAST had a truly outstanding weekend on the hills last weekend.  In the Gold Cup at Sun Peaks (best of Western Canada K2s) we had some outstanding results:

Hallie MacLachlan – 3rd in Giant Slalom

Jamie Honsberger – 3rd in Slalom

Patrick Carry – 7th in Slalom

 

At the World Cup in Lake Louise our own Emily Brydon had a career weekend finishing 2nd and 3rd – two podiums – in the two downhill races held last Friday and Saturday.  Photo attached.

 

CONGRATULATIONS to all of these FAST athletes.

 

XMAS CAMP SCHEDULE – The dates for E2, K1, K2, J Xmas camps are on the website calendar for you reading pleasure.

 

SEASON OPENER SOCIAL – A must attend event!  Our season kick off social a the FAR day lodge.  Everyone welcome with a special invitation to new members and alumni.  For new members this is a wonderful opportunity to meet other club parents and the coaches.

AVALANCHE AWARNESS NIGHT – FAST along with RCR are hosting an Avalanche awareness seminar at the Fernie Community Centre on December 28 at 5:00 pm.  This is a one hour seminar put on by RCR to teach kids of ALL ages to respect avalanche closures, how avalanche control is handled, equipment used, etc.  This seminar is open to the entire Fernie community – Everyone welcome.

Place: Fernie Community Centre

Admission:  FREE – Please bring non-perishable food item as a donation to the Fernie Food Bank

 

2010 DRYLAND - Tuesday night dryland in Calgary will be held at the Bob Niven training center from 5:30 to 7:00 pm starting on January 12 to March 23, 2010.  K1 and up.
