U12 is for kids who like to rip it up all weekend!  For athletes 10 to 11 years of age E2B offers more days on snow, more races, more miles and more smiles!

Our primary focus is Learning to Train. The U12 program offers an excellent opportunity for young athletes to improve their skiing skills with an increased focus on technical skiing and racing.  The kids will enjoy a good mix of skiing from Free, Steep & Deep, Mogul, Gates and Race Course.

Schedule

E2B Skiers will start as soon as the season opens, usually the first part of December. The U12 program is from 9 - 3 p.m. on Saturdays and  Sundays.  FAST organizes a number of ski camps during Christmas and Spring break.  The camps are optional but their cost is included in the program fees and all E2A skiers are welcome to join in.  Throughout the season, 45 Days of Instruction are offered.  The fees also include the Club Championship race, athlete-parent race and year-end banquet.

Races

All away races are optional attendance but encouraged, as they are a very enjoyable experience for the athletes and the parents.

Friends of FAST - There are 3 club races for all the FAST athletes held at our home hill.  The focus is fun as young racers are introduced to and become comfortable with alpine ski racing.

Husky Snow Star Festival at Kimberly – This invitational race is held at Kimberly each year for FAST Track, U10 & U12 athletes.  It is a fun race and participation is entirely optional.  The race is very well organized, a lot of fun and there are many prizes.  It is very popular with both young athletes and parents.  It is a great introduction to inter-club racing.

Kootenay Zone Final – Held at a different club in the East Kootenay one each year, the Zone Final is a chance for E2B athletes to experience first-hand the the K1 Series is all about.   Participation is entirely optional.  Location for the current year schedule can be found on the FAST calendar.  FAST usually has a contingent at these events so there are coaches available for any child who wishes to participate.

Cost

Annual Fee $1450.  The fees include 45 dyas of instruction, Club Championship race, athlete-parent race and year-end banquet ticket for the athlete.
