Hello FAST Families,
We are proud to say FAST is one of Canada’s most accomplished Ski Racing Clubs. We have over 200 athletes aged 4 – 19 registered annually, many of which compete locally, provincially and at the national level. From U4 participating in Friends of FAST races for the first time to FIS athletes traveling abroad. Many FIS athletes have skied together since a young age and have now built lifelong friendships that will carry on beyond ski racing. The FAST community has served generations of athletes as many of our former racers continue to be involved in the program as coaches, volunteers, and parents. We have some of the most accomplished coaches championing our young athletes to reach their full potential on and off the slopes.
To top it off, we have an unparalleled sense of community in our club brought together by the athletes, coaches, families, volunteers and sponsors that continue to keep the club thriving.
Sponsors help ensure FAST remains one of the best ski clubs in Western Canada by supporting aspiring ski racers in their pursuit of athletic excellence and success in life. Sponsorship dollars help us to create a positive change to the on-hill infrastructure that transforms the level of learning we can provide our athletes.
Among many ongoing initiatives at the club this year, with your help, we are looking to fund:
- FAST has embarked on a multiyear plan to build an industry unique water injection infrastructure on the Emily’s and Spruce Lee runs. This system will allow our athletes to train day in day out on some of the best conditions in the province.
- Replacement of an ageing timing system, allowing FAST to host regional and provincial races throughout the year.
- Coaching tablets and video review equipment, providing easy access to our athletes and coaches at the end of their training day.
- Continuous maintenance and replacement of the hardware (gates, drills, dye, etc.) needed to run the best race program possible.
- Medals, prizes, and awards for the Friends of FAST race series.
